After leaving the Royal Military Academy as a researcher, Frank joined the Aero-Thermo-Mechanics department in 2006 and became a teaching assistant in the domain of Applied Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Turbomachines, Aircraft Propulsion, Aircraft Stability and Control, and Aircraft Design. In 2008, he started his PhD studies at the University of Southampton (UK) and ULB.
Frank focusses his research on helicopter propulsion systems and more specifically, the examination of the Turbine Driven Rotor concept as a worthy alternative to the conventional helicopter.
